Smoothies when made with the whole fruit are much better for you, because you have lost nothing, merely squishing the fruit skin and all into a pulp which ideally you would eat, though some prefer to drink (obviously stones and cores should be removed first). Ideally you don’t add anything at all, as if you put some ‘wet’ fruit in too, you should be able to just liquidise the fruit, nothing added or taken away, with all the nutrition intact.
Eating is better than drinking, because the brain finds the longer experience more satisfying, and will be more content, and therefore less likely to encourage you to over-eat.
Juices have had all the fibre removed, leaving a far more concentrated form of a drink containing excess fructose (fruit sugar) in proportion to the contents. We need fibre, it helps our digestion function properly.
Both will have equal amounts of vitamins.
